POLISH PAINTERS

Stanisław Wyspiański  15 January 1869 – 28 November 1907) was a Polish playwrightpainter and poet, as well as interior and furniture designer. A patriotic writer, he created a series of symbolic, national dramas. Wyspiański was one of the most outstanding and multifaceted artists of his time in Poland under the foreign partitions. He painted a pictures: Planty Park at Dawn, Motherhood, Self-Portrait with Wife at the Window.

Jan Matejko was a Polish painter known for paintings of notable historical Polish political and military events. His works include large oil on canvas paintings like Rejtan (1866), Union of Lublin (1869) or Battle of Grunwald (1878), numerous portraits, a gallery of Polish kings, and murals in St. Mary's Basilica, Kraków. He is counted among the most famous Polish painters.Matejko spent most of his life in Kraków.
Stańczyk – King’s clown

Wojciech Kossak  was a Polishpainter and member of the celebrated Kossak family of painters and writers. He was the son of painter Juliusz Kossak. He painted a pictures: Olszynka Grochowska, Artyleria w odwrocie, Orlęta Iwowskie, Piłsudzki na koniu.

Juliusz Kossak  was a Polish historical painter and master illustrator who specialized in battle scenes, military portraits and horses. He was the progenitor of an artistic family that spanned four generations. He painted a pictures General Kazimierz PułaskiKing John III Sobieski or Faithful Companion.

Piotr Michałowski was a Polish painter of the Romantic period, especially known for his many portraits, and oil studies of horses. Broadly educated, he was also a social activist, legal advocate, city administrator and President of the Kraków Agricultural Society . He painted a pictures: study of horse's head, Battle of Somosierra, Napoleonic battle.

VISUAL ART - HARD WORK

         .
The first blok of the project was connected with painting. Students copied paintings of famous Polish painters such as  T.Makowski, J. Malczewski, S.Wyspiański, J.Matejko, W.Kossak and others. Students worked with Art teacher Aleksandra Piedo and her helpers Małgorzata Rzepecka-Jach, Agnieszka Dąbrowska and Anna Staniaszek. There were two groups and some individual works.

Welcome to our school



      Zespół Szkół no1 in Łazy(, Primary School no1 and Gimnazjum im.Stanisława Konarskiego) is a biggest  school in our borough. There are 500 students and 50 teachers in the  school.
The main tasks of our school are:
        -to support through the best examples;
        -to develop pupils’ skills and hobbies;
        -to broaden their knowledge and abilities;
        -to mould children’s character by giving them  challenges;
        -to educate;
        -to support children’s wide-ranging development;
        -to teach how to be self-confident, resourceful  and inventive;
        -to mould positive behaviour and attitudes towards other people;
        -to understand the culture and beauty of the world  by cultivating the traditions of the school, family  and our country. 
We have a lot of optional activities for our students:
-special interest grous: Maths, Theatre, Art, Tourists, Music, etc,.
-scouting:
- sports activities clubs: volleyball, football ,handball, swimming, climbing, chess.
     Our students take part in many internal school project which broaden their minds. They can make use of school library, common room, computer classes, pedagogical and medical help.
      The school is experienced in international projects. All teachers are very high qualified and use modern methodology and new technologies in education process. Some of them cover their own syllabuses.  
      We cooperate with local authorities, local organizations, parents and other schools to improve the level of education.
       Our town is situated in a very picturesque area, near the National Park called Cracow and Częstochowa Upland-Jura. There are a lot of old limestone hills, caves, castles and legends connected with them and their owners.
